FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DETROIT, Michigan, May 11, 2026, Droneforce, a U.S. drone systems company building autonomous, beyond line of sight, fixed and rotor wing aircraft for enterprise and government sector operations (dual use), today debuted the Droneforce 55 and the Droneforce HP at AUVSI Xponential 2026, the world’s largest uncrewed systems and robotics trade show, held May 11–14 at Huntington Place in Detroit.

The two aircraft form Droneforce’s fixed-wing line: the Droneforce 55, an electric platform with 100+ mile range, and the Droneforce HP, the company’s higher-performance airframe. The 55 is built for the Group 2 UAS market and operates on Droneforce One, a flight planning, ground station, post-processing, and fleet management platform designed for both Part 107 and Part 108 compatibility, with satellite communications connectivity. Both aircraft are dual-use: the same platform serves commercial and government operations, and both customer bases benefit from the same investment.

“The missions we serve need range, payload, and a link that does not stop at line of sight. A long-range airframe, a manned-aircraft-quality imaging payload, and persistent satellite connectivity: that combination is what our customers are asking for, and it is what we built these two aircraft around. They are dual-use platforms: the same aircraft serves commercial and government customers equally, and both sides get the benefit.”

About Droneforce

Droneforce is a U.S. drone systems company building in Fremont, California. The company builds autonomous, AI-enabled fixed and rotor wing drone platforms designed for imaging, light logistics, and special missions. Droneforce One, a flight planning, ground station, post-processing, and fleet management platform designed for both Part 107 and Part 108 compatibility, operates the full fleet. The Droneforce 55 (electric, 100+ mile range) and the Droneforce HP make up the fixed-wing line.

Droneforce targets the Group 2 UAS market, 55 lb class aircraft with 10 lb modular payload capacity and satellite communications connectivity. The 55 lb MTOW limit is a deliberate design choice: it keeps the aircraft under the Part 107 weight threshold, enabling commercial operations under existing Part 107 waivers while the FAA formalizes Part 108 (BVLOS) rulemaking. All Droneforce aircraft are designed for BlueUAS alignment from day one.

The company is led by Founder and CEO Will Lovis, with advisors from Skunk Works, Virgin Galactic, Northrop Grumman, Scaled Composites, the USAF, and the venture capital industry. Droneforce holds a CAGE code and has utility and design patents pending.

What’s Next

Droneforce will continue preparing the Droneforce 55 for flight test and will begin taking customer orders for the Droneforce 55 and the Droneforce HP in advance of first deliveries in 2027.
