Droneforce Opens Orders on DF800 Quadcopter, Completing Three-Platform Fleet

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

FREMONT, California, September 18, 2026, Droneforce, a U.S. drone systems company building autonomous, beyond line of sight, fixed and rotor wing aircraft for enterprise and government sector operations (dual use), today announced the DF800, an 800mm quadcopter for medium-lift, site-scale missions, and opened orders on the platform. The DF800 is the first Droneforce aircraft available for immediate delivery, completing a fleet that now spans the DF800, the Droneforce 55, and the Droneforce HP.

The DF800 is built for inspection and development work across large sites, facilities, substations, and solar fields that outrun line-of-sight control. It carries up to 5 pounds of payload at line-of-sight reach of up to 10 kilometers or more, extendable beyond line of sight over LTE. The platform runs on Droneforce One, a flight planning, ground station, post-processing, and fleet management platform designed for both Part 107 and Part 108 compatibility, with an LTE data link supporting beyond line of sight operation. The DF800 is NDAA compliant, BlueUAS-aligned, and compliant flying under Part 107.

Droneforce will submit the DF800 for BlueUAS evaluation for Department of War use this fall.

“One platform, three airframes. The DF800 puts the same autonomous, networked operation on a multi-rotor that ships today, the fixed-wing aircraft follow in 2027.”

- Will Lovis, Founder and CEO, Droneforce

About Droneforce

Droneforce is a U.S. drone systems company building in Fremont, California. The company builds autonomous, AI-enabled fixed and rotor wing drone platforms designed for imaging, light logistics, and special missions. Droneforce One, a flight planning, ground station, post-processing, and fleet management platform designed for both Part 107 and Part 108 compatibility, operates the full fleet. The fleet spans three platforms: the DF800 quadcopter (immediate delivery), the Droneforce 55 (electric, 100+ mile range), and the Droneforce HP (gasoline, high-performance).

Droneforce targets the Group 2 UAS market, 55 lb class aircraft with 10 lb modular payload capacity and satellite communications connectivity. The 55 lb MTOW limit is a deliberate design choice: it keeps the aircraft under the Part 107 weight threshold, enabling commercial operations under existing Part 107 waivers while the FAA formalizes Part 108 (BVLOS) rulemaking. All Droneforce aircraft are designed for BlueUAS alignment from day one.

The company is led by Founder and CEO Will Lovis, with advisors from Skunk Works, Virgin Galactic, Northrop Grumman, Scaled Composites, the USAF, and the venture capital industry. Droneforce holds a CAGE code (received June 2026) and has utility and design patents pending.

What’s Next

Droneforce is taking orders on all three platforms: the DF800 ships now, with the Droneforce 55 and the Droneforce HP following in 2027. The company will continue extending the Droneforce One platform across the fleet, including autonomous waypoint navigation via LTE and satellite communications connectivity.
